Quentin is a son of Jason Compson III and Caroline Compson, formerly Caroline Bascomb. He is a brother to Benjy Compson, Caddy Compson, and Jason Compson. He narrates the second section of The Sound and the Fury and is the narrator of Absalom, Absalom!. He committed suicide in Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 2, 1910.
